Semiglutide and Tirzepatide drugs, such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro, are medications often used to help with weight loss and type 2 diabetes. While it’s great for managing sugar levels, it can sometimes cause changes in your eyes, particularly if you already have an eye condition called diabetic retinopathy. It is important to have regular eye exams to monitor for any potential eye-related side effects with these medication use.

New research links semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are GLP-1 agonists used to treat type 2 diabetes and aid weight loss, to a rare eye disease that may cause vision loss.

Do your eyes itch and feel irritated every morning but allergy meds don’t help? Tiny creatures called Demodex mites could be the cause. These microscopic mites live at the base of your eyelashes, feeding on oily secretions and leaving behind debris while you sleep.

Demodex is usually a harmless mite.
However, an infestation caused by it can lead to problems such as ocular rosacea, recurring styes or blepharitis (eyelid inflammation). 🫣
