It has been an absolute honor to care for Queenie throughout her journey. Moments like seeing a patient ring the bell remind us that our work is bigger than medicine-it’s about faith, restoration, and hope.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here is a before and after we were so thrilled to take this week! This is NOT a cosmetic breast augmentation - this patient underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies with silicone implant breast reconstruction. Initially, the patient was understandably concerned with the augmented look of silicone implants and wanted to look as natural as possible. Dr. Shenaq chose 350cc Moderate High Profile Xtra implants that we think fit her frame perfectly! She is now loving the appearance of her reconstruction and we couldn't be happier for her! 💞

Dr. Shenaq and his assistant Dr. Giselle Lessa performing Breast Reconstruction with Tissue Expanders.

Tissue Expanders are typically placed at the time of mastectomy. The expanders will later be filled in-office with saline over a span of 6 weeks to prepare the skin and space for placement of a permanent breast implant or the patient’s own tissue from the abdomen.
