Join us for an evening of authentic Italian culture, warmth, and delicious homemade calzones! 🇮🇹

On January 23rd at 6pm, my mother—a self-taught chef with years of experience leading cooking tours and sharing her passion for Italian cuisine—will guide us through making traditional calzones using her own cookbook recipe.

This isn't just a cooking class. It's an intimate gathering where we'll share stories from her childhood in Sicily, learn the love and technique behind authentic Italian cooking, and connect over food and culture. We'll also chat about Italy travel experiences and the magic of bringing that warmth home.

My mom has a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and nourished—both through her food and her presence. If you've experienced her cooking before, you know what I mean! 💚

If you know me, you know my mother was a gourmet chef. Although she never calls herself one,I always do and here’s why.

She came to America from Sicily at a young age. Her passion for cooking lead her to the NY Culinary institute, where she took their certification exam without ever taking a class, and she passed! Her knowledge and experience gained from cooking with her family.

Over the years she’s taught classes, owned and operated her own restaurant, lead cooking tours in Italy and catered many of my events.

Many attendees who’ve met her always enjoy her presence, knowledge and loving embrace.

That’s why I’ve decided to host a cooking class with her as our guide. We’ll be taking a recipe from her own cookbook.

So, If you like Italian culture, love to cook and appreciate a tasty Calzone then this class is for you! 🇮🇹🧑‍🍳

Hosting this event with me is yet another talented fellow Italian. My friend from . Alessia is from Calabria, Italy. She curates and leads magnificent tours to Italy, and other beautiful places, multiple times a year.

Life is always leading us exactly where we’re meant to be. It doesn’t always feel that way though.

Sometimes we feel we’ve made mistakes or chosen poorly and that hurts.

Other times it feels right and seems like it’s meant to be.

Either way we are always exactly where our souls need to be in order to receive the lessons we require for our evolution.

Unfortunately not all are on the same journey as we are and I feel that’s why people/places/things come and go, and that can hurt too.

All we can do, all we have to do, is let go of any expectations and trust the process.

Continue to appreciate every moment and experience and know you’re doing great!
