If you have ever thought about stem cell therapy, or even just been curious, I highly recommend attending one of these events. (Link for other dates and zoom options if one of these dates don’t work!)
Not all stem cells are created equal. I have seen people spend thousands of dollars and walk away with little to no results. Some of those people were family, and it is devastating to watch when expectations are high and nothing changes.
One of the biggest differences comes down to how the cells are prepared and what type they actually are.
A lot of stem cells, especially those coming from outside the U.S., are expanded in a growth medium. This process can cause the cells to become larger and behave differently in the body. Size matters here because larger cells have a harder time reaching certain areas, including the brain, which is where many people are hoping to see support and results.
This is also where you will hear the terms multipotent vs pluripotent, and this part matters more than most people realize.
Multipotent stem cells can turn into a limited range of cell types. Think of them as more specialized. They can be helpful, but they have boundaries and can only become certain types of tissue.
Pluripotent stem cells have a much broader potential. They can develop into almost any type of cell in the body. This gives them a wider range when it comes to repair, regeneration, and overall support.
Another important piece people do not talk about enough is how often treatments are needed.
With this specific therapy, about 90% of people only need one round. That is very different from many stem cell clinics that have you coming back over and over again for repeat treatments. Sometimes that is positioned as a protocol, but in many cases it raises the question of whether the cells being used are as effective as they should be.
When something is working well, you should not need to keep chasing the same result repeatedly.
So when people say “stem cells,” that does not mean you are getting the same thing across the board. The source, the processing, and the type all matter.
I will drop more information in the comments so you can look deeper into this.
If you go, make sure you put down that LaKrista at Native Wellness referred you.
We are also looking at potentially opening up our clinic to host stem cell therapy days soon. The goal would be to offer these regularly if it is a good fit for our clients.
This is something to be informed on before jumping in, and this event is a great place to start.
