Yesterday I had the opportunity to be part of a World Tai Chi & Qi Gong event with several local instructors—and one thing really stood out…

Even though our styles looked a little different, the foundation was exactly the same.

And it reminded me of something I struggled with when I first started…

Slowing down.

I’ve always been someone who moves quickly, so Tai Chi felt surprisingly hard at first. But learning to slow down ended up being one of the most valuable skills—not just in Tai Chi, but for balance, safety, and everyday movement.

If you’ve ever felt like ‘slow movement can’t possibly be enough’… it might actually be exactly what your body needs.

👉 Curious about trying it? I have a beginner class starting soon in Greensboro — message me or comment ‘TAI CHI’ and I’ll send details.

Parkinson’s is often misunderstood, especially in the early stages.

Many adults over 55 notice subtle changes but aren’t sure what they mean.

Slower movement.
Balance issues.
Stiffness that doesn’t go away.

These things matter.

And what you do next matters even more.

Movement, when done the right way, can help you stay stronger, more steady, and more independent.

I work with people going through this every day, and there is support available.

Let’s talk below, I read every comment

Numbness in the feet doesn’t just affect feeling… it can quietly change how you walk, balance, and move through your day.

At a recent workshop here in Summerfield, one participant tried Stimpod for the first time—and within minutes, she noticed something different: a stronger awareness of the floor under her foot and a little more movement than she expected.

That kind of feedback is exactly why we love introducing people to new options.

Stimpod is one of several tools we use alongside targeted exercises and education to support nerve health and help you move with more confidence. It’s not a cure, and results vary—but it can be a meaningful step for some people.

If you or someone you know has been dealing with numbness, tingling, or changes in balance, this might be worth exploring.

I see this all the time with adults.

You try exercises online.
You stay consistent.
But your balance or mobility doesn’t improve.

That’s not your fault.

Most videos aren’t designed for your needs.
They miss key steps that actually build stability.

A proper program meets you where you are and builds from there.

Numbness in the feet can quietly change the way a person walks, stands, and balances - often long before a fall ever happens.

In our recent workshop at our studio in Summerfield, NC, a client tried Stimpod neuromodulation for the first time and shared his immediate reaction of feeling more aware of the floor under his feet.

Stimpod is one tool our team uses, together with specific exercises and education, to support nerve health and steady movement. It is not a cure, and results are different for everyone, but many people appreciate having options to explore.
