Mountaineer Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine "Try Physical Therapy First!"

We would like to take this time to thank all of our donors for helping us provide Christmas to Nicholas County children! Since 2017, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs have provided Christmas gifts and essential items such as clothing and school supplies to hundreds of local children. Without the support of generous businesses, churches, and individuals, many of our children would go without Christmas.

Today we celebrate 2️⃣0️⃣ years:
🥳20 years of smiles, memories, changes, and people.
🥳20 years of progress towards achieving a better and healthier community.

⏳Monday August 27, 2001 Mountaineer Physical Therapy opened our doors. From that day with only 3 patients on the schedule til today, we thank each of you. Thank you to every individual who helped support us over the years - the patients, therapists, office managers, billing assistants and community partners - a sincere thank you. 🙏🏼

⭐️We are nowhere near finished after 20 years. Undoubtedly there will be more change, but we will be ready. We will embrace it. We will be our best to continue showing our values to the community.

🔥The best is yet to come.

Having students in the clinic is one of our favorite seasons. Friday we said good luck to one as he continued towards graduation. While we hate to see Decker go, we are confident in his next steps and know he will do great anywhere he goes. Thanks for all the laughs, Decker! Ron and Jason sure will miss you as their third musketeer!

While we obviously love to joke around, we had a great time dressing up for Halloween this year! 🎃 As always, the MPT team wants you to enjoy and stay safe for this holiday’s festivities!

Since Stephen was out of the office yesterday, our clinic’s birthday party is a day belated. We didn’t mind, though, because it’s always more fun to party in a Friday 🥳

Why Choose MPT?

Our one-on-one care is unlike any other. Each patient receives a treatment plan that matches his or her individual deficits and movement diagnosis. We provide ongoing physical therapy assessment throughout the episode of care. However, resolution is not only about treating the patient. Mountaineer Physical Therapy focuses on treating the person. We recognize and understand each person’s history, expectations, beliefs, and current situation. Reaching positive patient outcomes is always our goal. Individualized care helps us to reach this goal.

We are proud to be local healthcare providers to our small area. MPT has been a front-runner physical therapy provider in Summersville for over 18 years. We are an owner operated clinic that provides the best evidence-based care for each patient.

Mountaineer Physical Therapy exists to develop and train the most accomplished team member and to help each team member attain their professional and personal goals -- and have fun doing it. Achieving greatness only occurs if each of our team members discovers his or her strengths and exploits them. At MPT, we are proud to help our team members grow. We work together in order to reach the highest potential for every patient.

Movement is key.
