Mr. Tony Garrett Gilreath, age 67 of Summerville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his residence.

Mr. Gilreath was born in Rainsville, Alabama on September 29, 1958, son of the late Herman Gilreath and Jeanette Gilreath. He was retired from Heritage Wire in Fort Payne, and was an avid fan of all college football, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gilreath was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Marie Gilreath.

Mr. Gilreath is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Dustin Kown; brother, Michael Gilreath; grandchildren, Heaven Shaw, Destiny Gilreath, Serena Kown, Hunter Gilreath and Alyssa McElhaney; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Mr. Gilreath’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family may hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Mickey Alton “Mountain Man” Silvers, age 57 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

Mickey was born in Rome, Georgia on November 15, 1968, son of the late Thomas Silvers and Kathleen Corbin Silvers. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and prior to retirement, had been employed as a slasher helper with Mt. Vernon Mills. Mickey enjoyed grilling, woodworking, thrift store shopping and going to Trade Day, but his favorite activity was spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Silvers; maternal grandparents, Lee Corbin and Nellie Hill Corbin; paternal grandparents, Paul and Louise Silvers; uncle, “Little” Morris Silvers; and special friends, Danny Davis, Dale Bain and Tim Perry.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Marilyn Henderson Silvers; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Austin Campbell; brother and sister-in-law, Rickey and Brenda Silvers; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Jamie Mitchell; four grandchildren, Trae Campbell, Anna Silvers, Zayden Campbell and Xander Campbell and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mickey will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Gary Cook, Steve Helton, Nick Dooley, Kyle Spear, Austin Campbell and Cody Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Durham, Kevin Bain, Randy Brown and Tommy Odom.

Mr. Charles Edwin “Ed” Franklin, age 77, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 6, 2026.

Born on May 22, 1948, in Clarkesville, Georgia, Ed was the son of the late Charles Frederick Franklin and Nettie Withrow Tench Franklin. Throughout his life, Ed was deeply involved with the Pennville Church of Christ and had a fulfilling career as a Project Manager with Fox and Brindle, as well as a contractor with the Georgia Finance State Investment Commission.

A proud veteran, Ed served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He had a passion for fishing, loved attending NASCAR races, and was an enthusiastic participant in drag racing. Above all, Ed treasured the moments spent with his beloved family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Franklin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorie and Chad Brown, and Becky and Kevin Payton; sister, Patricia and brother-in-law Kenny Cox; and grandchildren Kaitlyn (Raelyn) Payton and Makaila (Levi) Noles, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Heyman Hospice Team – Michelle, Jeanette, Lisa, and Kim – for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home, with Ministers Brad Hayes and Robbie Eversole officiating. Interment will follow in Subligna Cemetery.

Mr. William Sidney Henderson, age 85 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

A native of Summerville, Georgia, Mr. Henderson was born August 18, 1940, son of the late Elisha John Paul Henderson and Cecil Annie Gaylor Henderson. He was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ and was retired from Beaulieu, where he was employed as a plant manager. Mr. Henderson was an avid animal lover, having several cats and dogs. He was an absolute handyman, enjoyed yard work, woodworking, watching Westerns and eating at the Menlo Restaurant.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Henderson; grandson, Nicholas Simpson; sisters, Josephine Ratliff and Joan Ratliff; and a brother, Johnny Henderson.

Mr. Henderson is survived by sons, Nathan Henderson, Terry Hampton, Marty Hampton, Rodney Henderson and Russell Henderson; daughters, Rita Brooks-Sussman, Beverly Simpson, Kim Hurley, Tina Maynard, Kelly Yarbrough and Cindy Broyles; brother, Greg Henderson; sisters, Edna Cavin and Ann Strawn; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bryson was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on February 9, 1951, son of the late Charlie Bryson and Lucy Drucilla Dawson Horton. He was a member of the Menlo Church of Christ and was retired from the Cotton Warehouse at Mt. Vernon Mills. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryson was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bryson and Thomas Bryson.

Lanie was born in Rome, Georgia on February 15, 1966, daughter of Cheri Crane Parker and the late Lewis Wilson. She was a graduate of Trion High School and was employed with Master Cuts as a cosmetologist. In addition to her father, Lanie was preceded in death by a brother, James Wilson.

Mr. Samuel Jacob Blackmon, age 40 of Trion, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 19, 2026 in Unadilla, Georgia.

Jacob was born in Rome, Georgia on September 17, 1985, son of the late Samuel Blackmon and Marion Kay Boyd. He had attended the Welcome Hill Baptist Church and the East Trion Church of God and was formerly employed with Mt. Vernon Mills. Jacob’s greatest hobby was participating in amateur wrestling and being a member of the tag team, Dangerous Minds.

Jacob is survived by a daughter, Shyanne Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Cody Siffles; aunts and uncles, Retha and Johnny Blackmon, Rita Ledbetter and Sherri and Greg Stoker; family friend, Johnny Green; and a number of additional extended family and friends.

Tammy was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia on October 20, 1969, daughter of Harold Richard Lowrance and Charlene Darlene Greene Trammell. She was a member of the Berryton Church of God, a graduate of Trion High School and had been employed with Mt. Vernon Mills and WireTech. She enjoyed adult coloring books, working puzzles and watching TV. Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Brown and a sister, Angela Michelle Lowrance.

Tammy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, RJ and Brooke Brown; mother and step-father, Charlene and Joe Trammell; father and step-mother, Richard and Pam Lowrance; step brother, Jeremy Trammell; grandson, Dax Brown; aunt, Vickie Dearing and an uncle, Johnny Greene.

Mr. Clarence Franklin “Cedy” Rollins, Jr., age 79 of Rome, Georgia passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

Mr. Rollins was born in Cave Spring, Georgia on December 1, 1946, son of the late Clarence Franklin Rollins, Sr. and Annie Ruth Myers Rollins. He was a member of the Holy Ground Church and prior to retirement, was employed with Integrated Products as a Truck Driver and had previously worked in the pulpwood and logging industry. Mr. Rollins enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, especially riding his zero turn mower, piddling and listening to Gospel Music.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rollins was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Wade, Myrtle Ashley and Sara Bearden; brothers, Grady Rollins and Floyd Rollins; mother-n-law, Julia Lord and a daughter-in-law, Becky Rollins.

Mr. Rollins is survived by his wife, Sara Rollins; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Jean Rollins, Hank and Darlene Rollins, Dell and Terri Rollins and Jeffery and Wanda Rollins; sister, Gail Wade; special neighbors and friends, Doug and Joynce Aaron; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Sandra Adelia Smallan Brock, better known as Sammye Brock, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.

Sammye was a lifelong resident of Chattooga County, where she built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and deep connections with family and friends. She retired from Mt. Vernon Mills after many years of dedicated service, earning the respect of coworkers through her strong work ethic and steadfast commitment.

She was a proud life member of The American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary, reflecting her appreciation for service and community.

Sammye cherished time spent with her family and friends. She delighted in playing games, shopping, and laughing, and her joyful spirit brought warmth to every gathering. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Tina Brock Tucker; her parents, Howard Marcus Smallan Jr. and Margaret Louise Byrd Smallan; her brother, Jerry Smallan; her sister, Glenda Smallan Williams; brother-in-law, Randy Brock and a nephew, Josh Brock.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Brock; her cherished granddaughter, Skylar Tucker; her sister, Judy Smallan Stanek King; and her nieces Rhonda Williams Ewing, Mary Stanek, Christi Maupin, and Lynn Stanek; and her nephews Joe Smallan, J. Mrs. Westbrook was born in Trion, Georgia on December 16, 1947, daughter of the late William Ralph McWhorter and Edna Florence Sills McWhorter. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Westbrook was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Westbrook and her step-mother, Ola McWhorter.

Mr. William Calvin “Bill” Mosier, age 69 of Mentone, Alabama passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Mr. Mosier was born in Summerville, Georgia on August 12, 1956, son of the late Alfred Francis Mosier and Syble Nell Scoggins Mosier. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, where he was a watercraft operator. Mr. Mosier was very active in DAV, Disabled Veterans, while living in Virginia. He enjoyed yard work and being outside.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosier was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ron Parkman and James “Pat” Pledger; and two nephews, Kyle Pledger and Brad Parkman.

Mr. Mosier is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mosier; sons and daughters-in-law, Toby and Diane Mosier, Chris Mosier, Alex Mosier and Charles “Chuck” and Nicole Huntley; Daughters and son-in-law, Christina C**n and Cecelia and Ed Lemming; sisters, Shirley Pledger and Gail Parkman; good friends, Phil and Kim McGuire; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and
