Mr. Randy Everett Greer, 55, of McComb, MS was called home to Heaven on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at his residence with his loving family by his side, leaving behind a love that death cannot take and a family that will never be the same. In his final moments, he was not alone, he was surrounded, held tightly, and spoken to with the kind of love that defined his entire life. We told him how proud we were of him, how deeply we loved him, and how much he would always mean to us. Though our hearts shattered as he left this world, we take comfort in knowing he entered eternity wrapped in the very love he spent his life giving. He was born on August 28, 1970.

Randy was not just a husband, father, and grandfather—he was the foundation his family stood on. Everything he did was for them. Every mile offshore, every long day, every sacrifice was made so his family would be taken care of, protected, and loved.
His love story with his wife began in 2010 at the Enterprise-Journal—a moment that quietly changed the course of both of their lives. They married in 2011 and built something rare and unshakable. There was not a surface-level love, it was deep, constant, and fiercely loyal. Through every high and every unimaginable low, they stood side by side. He was her home, her steady place, and her greatest love.
Randy spent most of his life working offshore, a career that required time away but was always rooted in his devotion to his family. He carried that responsibility with pride, never losing sight of why he did it. Over 13 years with NNW, he gained more than a career—he gained brotherhood. The respect and support shared there became a meaningful part of his life, and it never went unnoticed.
But if you really knew Randy, you knew his favorite place in the world was right at home with the people he loved as well as playing pickleball. It didn’t matter what was on the TV—body cam, court cam, LSU games, Transformers or Deadpool—what mattered was that he was surrounded by his family. Those quiet, ordinary moments are now the ones we will hold onto the tightest.
He had a passion for working with firearms—learning, upgrading and perfecting them. It was something he genuinely enjoyed and took pride in, just like everything else he put his hands on.
Randy and his wife also shared a love for traveling and dreaming about what was next. They had plans to go to Costa Rica this year—plans they talked about, looked forward to, and were excited to experience together. Like everything else in their life, it wasn’t just about the place, it was about being together.
The family wants to extend deep and heartfelt gratitude to NNW, where Randy spent over 13 years of his life. The support, loyalty, and care shown to him—and to us—especially during this time, has meant more than words can fully express. Those relationships mattered deeply to him, and they will always matter to us.
Preceding him in death were his parents, HP and Lavoyce Greer.

Survivors are his wife of 14 years, Robbey Greer; sons, Wade Greer (Zoey Adale), Cade Wilson; daughter, Reagan Wilson; sisters, Cheryl Pigott (Randall), Tamara Fowler; grandchildren, Cynthia and Paxton Adams Greer; bonus grandchildren, Allisyn Diaz, Izabella Carroll and Elijah Carroll; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

In addition to his family, Randy leaves behind three cherished French bulldogs – Baxter, Delta & Marleigh, who were spoiled beyond measure and loved just as fiercely. They were never “just dogs” to him—they were part of his world, and he treated them that way every single day.
Randy will be remembered for his strength, his unwavering loyalty, and the way he loved—fully, deeply, and without condition. He was the one who showed up - the one who carried the weight -the one who made sure his family was okay, no matter what it cost him.
There is a space in this world now that cannot be filled - silence where his voice used to be. A kind of loss that words will never fully touch. But if love alone could have kept him here, he would have stayed forever.
And while we will spend the rest of our lives missing him, we will also spend it carrying him—with us, in us, through every memory, every story, every piece of the life he helped build.
Randy will be remembered for his strength, his quiet resilience, his sense of humor, and most of all, the way he loved—fully, deeply, and without condition. He was the steady presence so many of us leaned on, the one who showed up, who provided, who protected, and who loved without needing recognition.

Pallbearers are Tyler Bond, Cade Wilson, Trey Modisette, Wade Greer, Jason Shipley and Brad Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Vielee, Ben Carter, Diego DeJesus, Raoul DeJesus & Andrew Howe.

A visitation will be held at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, on Friday, April 24, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Demond Kennedy officiating. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly asks for donations to help with expenses and the financial burdens ahead. Any support given directly to the family or through the family’s GoFundMe is deeply appreciated and will help us navigate the difficult road ahead and help ease the weight that we are still learning how to carry. Your support, prayers and kindness are what will help carry us through the unimaginable days ahead.
