We are incredibly grateful to celebrate the amazing sponsors who are helping make our Wine with an Equine event so special this year!

A heartfelt thank you to our Vineyard Champions — The Old Cannery and 1st Security Bank — for leading the way in supporting our mission and the families we serve.

And thank you to our Paddock Partners — Diamond Defenders and Sumner Postal — for your generosity and commitment to our community.

Because of partners like you, we’re able to continue providing life-changing therapy and unforgettable experiences at the barn.

Join us on May 30, 2026 for this intimate and meaningful evening — tickets are almost gone, and you won’t want to miss it!

Meet the heart behind Sundance 🧡 Beth is our volunteer spotlight and we are so lucky to have her as part of our community. “It’s hard to choose just one volunteer role, but I enjoy side walking most of all because I enjoy interacting with and supporting the riders during their therapy sessions.” -Beth

Our volunteers make everything we do possible—from grooming to side-walking to cheering on every success. Tag a volunteer you know from Sundance to show your appreciation.

What does “quadruped” mean in hippotherapy?

Quadruped refers to a position—when a patient is placed on their hands and knees on the horse’s back (similar to a crawling position). This is a carefully supported activity guided by a licensed therapist and trained team. So why do we use this position?

✨ Activates core muscles – Being on hands and knees requires the rider to engage their abdominals and back muscles to stay stable.
✨ Improves weight-bearing through arms – This helps strengthen shoulders, arms, and wrists—especially important for functional daily tasks.
✨ Enhances balance and body awareness – The horse’s movement challenges the rider to adjust in real time, building coordination.
✨ Promotes bilateral coordination – Using both sides of the body together helps with skills like crawling, walking, and overall motor planning.
✨ Encourages sensory integration – The combination of movement, touch, and position helps the brain process and respond to sensory input more effectively.

This position may look simple, but it’s incredibly powerful. With the horse’s rhythmic movement underneath them, patients are working hard in ways that feel engaging, dynamic, and even fun.
