This week we are highlighting one of our interns (Central Carolina Technical College), Abigail Browder. She is a big help and has a bright, joyful disposition.
"My activities for this week were quite simple, yet meaningful. I have been able to do so much work (learning) on a program called Bright Course (our curriculum here). This program gives you the materials and knowledge needed to effectively work with clients in a pregnancy center. I have earned close to three certificates and am starting to feel a sense of understanding what it takes to be a helping hand to those in need."
"My most meaningful experience this week was seeing one of the clients come in with her newborn baby. I mentioned in the last report I gave that she was going to be induced that week. Even in pain before labor and with a week-old newborn baby, she still showed up to class. Her determination and dedication speak volumes for her as a parent and that is very fulfilling to witness."
Thanks for being such a hard worker and positive light to staffers, clients, and students alike Abby! You are going to do great things in your career ahead as you are doing great work here.
