A Legacy of Care❤️❤️
This photo means more than a picture… it represents generations of healing hands and compassionate hearts. Standing beside my Mom and my sisters, I’m reminded that nursing and caring for others is more than a profession in our family it’s a calling that flows through our bloodline. From hospital rooms to healthcare businesses, from long shifts to leadership roles, we each carry the same mission to serve, uplift, and make a difference in the lives of others. Watching the women in my family lead, nurture, and build businesses in healthcare has shown me what strength, grace, and dedication truly look like. Our legacy is not only in the care we provide, but in the communities we impact and the doors we open for the next generation. I’m grateful to stand among these phenomenal women who prove every day that healing is powerful, and when done together as family, it becomes a legacy.

In a unanimous vote, Sumter school board chose Gerald Gary as its new superintendent on Monday night, pending successful negotiations.

A Sumter native, Gary is currently chief operations officer of Irmo-based Lexington-Richland School District Five, a cabinet-level post that he has held for about a year. Graduate to Greatness provides resume reviews, mock interviews, and a “What Not to Wear” career fashion show. Most importantly, every attendee will have the chance to participate in face-to-face interviews with some of the region's top employers!

Not quite ready for the workforce? No problem! We’ll also have local colleges and military recruiters available to help you explore all your options.

By the end of this event, our goal is for everyone to leave either enrolled in college, enlisted in the military, or employed with a top employer!
