Celebrate Recovery of Sumter SC A faith based 12 step program to help with issues like drugs, alcohol, relationships, smoking, anger We meet every Friday night.

Celebrate Recovery is a 12 Step faith based program for help with addictions such as drugs, alcohol, relationship issues, smoking, anger, codependency, food addictions, sexual addictions, esteem issues, and more. This is a safe environment and all information shared in meetings is confidential. Dinner is from 6pm to 7pm ($5 food donation is requested); a large group meeting is held from 7pm to 8pm; and then we break into small discussion groups pertaining to individual issues.

It is said that God never wastes a hurt...very true.
I encourage you to come to tonight's Celebrate Recovery of Sumter SC meeting because there are so many out there that just need that human connection.
At one time I was a person that didn't think anyone really would need/want a meeting that fell on or around Chrustmas. I was very wrong. Now I realize it is exactly these days that a meeting is needed.
The holiday season can be very tough for us alcoholics/addicts.
I was shown this lesson about 10 years ago when I canceled our meeting that had fallen on Christmas. A complete stranger from Missouri contacted me after seeing the post about canceling and pleaded with me to change my mind. You see, her brother, Billy, spent his last Christmas all alone with his addictions...and died several months later from those demons. Billy's sister was the push for us to meet the Christmas evening afterall....and it was fantastic. People helping people.
And Billy's name has been invoked many times since then.
So please come tonight. They are having a day after Christmas dinner and testimony.
