This week, Tandem Health’s very own Jessica Fralick, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined the excitement at Liberty Charter School for PATH Day!

Partnering with The Incredible Innovators — Mrs. Davis and Ms. Rojas’ kindergarten class from the Primary Academy — Jessica led a hands-on lesson all about how germs spread and why proper hand hygiene matters.

The students explored:
How germs move from person to person.
What happens when we don’t wash our hands
The most effective ways to keep our hands clean

Kids divided into groups to test different handwashing techniques, including rinsing with only water, wiping with a paper towel, and washing with soap and water. Using Glo Gel to simulate germs and a blacklight to reveal just how “dirty” our hands and classroom can be, the students quickly discovered that soap and water is the clear winner for staying healthy!

Lets face it- being in healthcare marketing and communications can get wild — one minute you’re explaining flu shots in a Facebook post, the next you’re trying to Photoshop a stethoscope onto a pumpkin because “it feels more on-brand.”

But seriously, our healthcare marketing and communicatons team work behind the scenes every day to ensure patients know where to turn for trusted care, support, and resources. From community outreach and education campaigns to digital communication and storytelling, to creating ways to give back to our community, they play a vital role in connecting our community to better health.

A national non-profit says while children’s math scores are rebounding from pandemic lows, reading progress has stalled — including in South Carolina classrooms.

Say Boo to the Flu—Year 4 was a Spook-tacular Success! 👻

A huge thank you to our incredible Tandem Health Pediatrics team and all the Tandem staff who helped make our 4th Annual “Say Boo to the Flu” event such a success!

Thanks to your teamwork, smiles, and festive spirit, we vaccinated 117 children while giving families a fun, safe, and memorable trick-or-treat experience.

From costumes to a great pumpkin decorating competition among staff to candy to caring for our community—Team Tandem continues to go above and beyond! We’re so grateful for your hard work and dedication to keeping our patients healthy (and happy!).
