A lot of parents don’t talk about this part.

The sun starts to go down and instead of feeling relieved, you feel tense.

You watch the clock.
You stretch out the bedtime routine like it might delay what’s coming.

If you’re dreading nighttime postpartum, you’re not weak and you’re not broken.

Nighttime can bring up fear, anxiety, and memories of long, lonely nights.

It’s when exhaustion hits hardest and everything feels more unpredictable.

And because no one really talks about this, many parents assume they’re the only ones feeling it.

The truth?
You’re not.

Dreading nighttime doesn’t mean you don’t love your baby.
It means nights have been heavy and your body remembers that.

Support can make nights feel less scary.
More manageable. Less lonely.

Postpartum love doesn’t always look like date nights or big romantic gestures.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Taking turns holding the baby at 2 am
• Sitting quietly on the couch
• Communicating in half sentences
• Doing the best you can with very little sleep

Love shifts after a baby because life shifts.

Energy changes.
Priorities change.

And the way you show up for each other changes too.

Rest assured, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with your relationship.

You’re simply in a new season that requires patience, honesty, and a lot of grace.

Support during postpartum doesn’t just help parents individually.

It helps relationships too!

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone!

You’re still in the thick of postpartum.

Nothing magical happens when the provider gives you the “all clear.”

February doesn’t get talked about enough in postpartum.

By now, sleep loss has stacked up.
The holidays are a distant memory.
Help has likely tapered off.

The days are still short.
And you’ve been holding everything together for a long time.

This is often when parents feel stretched thin, emotionally drained, and quietly overwhelmed.

Not because they’re weak.
Because they’ve been doing something incredibly demanding for months.

If February feels harder than you expected, please hear me when I say you’re not failing.

It just means you’ve reached a point where support matters more than pushing through.

Asking for help now can change how the rest of your postpartum journey feels.

There’s a big difference between “help” and real support.

Real support doesn’t rush you.

It doesn’t judge how your house looks.
It doesn’t tell you what you should be doing.

It looks like someone stepping into your home and saying, “I’ve got this. You can breathe.”

When someone is there just to support you, you’ll notice:
• Resting without guilt
• Asking questions without apologizing
• Feeling less alone in the hard moments
• No longer carrying everything alone

Daytime postpartum support isn’t about crossing off a to do list.

It’s about creating a space where you don’t have to do it all.

And having a person who truly cares and wants to listen.

That kind of care changes how the entire week feels.

February sleep can feel relentless.
Especially when you’re already running on low.

Save this for those nights that feel never ending.
