Almost one year ago, I was diagnosed with Cancer and I went through a life changing successful surgery to eradicate the tumor. I also started my new life as a retiree ready to enjoy this new stage in my life, and at the same time starting a long recovery process. As of today, I am cancer free and I joined an increasing list of proud cancer survivors.
As a consequence of this painful recovery process, I decided to put my life plans and long term goals in stand by, and embark on a Sabbatical year.
I needed time to adjust, to recover, to reassess, to rethink my life objectives and goals. I am excited to share with you that my Sabbatical year had been more enjoyable and rewarding than I never expected. I will continue traveling and visiting family and friends around the World for a few more months to complete my life bucket list.
Nevertheless, I feel stronger, more focused, more connected to my inner self and the community around me. I learned so much about what cancer means to mine and other people’s lives, what is really important and worth it in life, how to maximize the here and now as the only manageable and quasi controllable part of our lives. I read a lot about being in the present, being compassionate to yourself and others, to be mindful and a more spiritual human being, but all my theoretical knowledge paled in comparison to my real life experience during the last year.
More than ever, I am excited to continue my practice as an inspirational mentor and coach for corporate leaders and people in general who would like to experience a new life style, reprogram their beliefs, and their minds to explore new frontiers. My new life perspective, as a result of years of work experience in the corporate world, in addition to my behavioral health coaching practice, and my own recovery from cancer came together to merge into a powerful combination of skills to improve people’s lives, help them flourish, and thrive in their lives.
Thank you for staying connected and helping me grow as human being and as a professional. My most important goal in life is to give back to society making you healthier, stronger, happier, and a better person.
