Well we made it 394 days but looks like I’m facing ankle replacement for my left side! Come to find out I qualified for it for my right side but we won’t get started on the previous dr ! My new one who fixed my right side wants to do a special type of replacement they found me a company down here that does the special Ct scan so I got Wednesday for that this week soo thankful to work from home and them working with me through this

He did state we might have to remove the current hardware from 2011 but we will see they may approve me with the current hardware but once the Ct is done and I’m accepted it takes 5 weeks to build the parts for my foot fingers crossed

Also peep Osko the service dog who I never formally introduced here lol he’s 8 and the bestest boy

I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated I’m the worst at remembering about this page!! I need to do better but here’s a update from yesterday April 7, 2023 (side note my foot is doing awesome my drs apt got moved to April 21)

So I’m always super open with my medical stuff! So Monday I stayed out of work not feeling well Dr said we caught strep early and I’d be good! Well Tuesday night a cough set in and it has progressively gotten worse!! We get to today I go to Piedmont urgent care near the clinic and those who know me know Piedmont is the bane of my existence since my miscarriage 5 years ago

anyways they argue with me about the coil they see in my lung and didn’t wanna listen when I said it’s been there most of my life! Mind you I threw a fit because they charged me $100.00 because they claimed to be a specialist which they aren’t my insurance is sending me all but my co pay back…. My oxygen level was sorta low but the. As I coughed continuously dropped to 85… I wasn’t staying at Piedmont so I called family medical and they were waiting for me! Had to take my rent money to mom so the landlord could get it I got to family medical they took me stright back two breathing treatments and now 4 shots later and cough meds on board hopefully 🤞 this passes

They can't find any infection so worry was that it could possibly turn into pneumonia just with the cough but because they're not see an infection whatever this is has like made my asthma come out of the woodwork's. I haven't had any issues with asthma since my freshman year of high school maybe

Oh the joys of chronic illness but so thankful for a medical team that understands and fights to not give me steroids unless it’s the last resort they are trying to hold off on that!!

IM HOME!! Y’all the difference in staff and attitudes at Upson Regional Medical Center Vs where I was earlier this year and last year is mind blowing! I had the best nurses and medical staff from the iv stick on the first time to the nerve block and everything! One of my moms customers husbands is a OR nurse and requested my case and met me in the hall on the way back for the nerve block! Things were just sooo smooth this time!

It did take me a lot longer to leave because every-time I sat up I felt sick but we got that under control we were set! Mom is in cleaning mode doing things I haven’t been able to do…. Meds won’t be done until 6:30pm today I won’t lie with my insurance changing I will be lookin for a quicker pharmacy…..

Surgery went well they did a plasma transfusion used all original incisions got all three screws in and things scraped and positioned!

Current prayer Request:
~Minimal pain and nausea
~bone regeneration and growth
~total fusion healing
~for my depression to stay away

Being out of work for so long typically takes a toll on me not to mention it being a side effect of anesthesia too

Thank you all for the continued prayers and love!!! Now back to sleep while mom goes to get meds and PIZZA

So I talked to the drs office this am! They are going to try and just do this with a revision of the fusion which I’m totally okay with! I am going In next week with a lot more trust in this team! Drs apt Wednesday at three pre op next Wednesday at 3 and surgery next Thursday still don’t know a time
