At last night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Lara proclaimed the month of May 2024 as Mental Health Awareness Month in the City of Grandview and encouraged all citizens of the City to commit to increasing awareness of mental illnesses, reducing stigma and discrimination, and promoting appropriate and accessible services for all people who may be affected by mental illnesses.

Sandra Zesati! 🙌🏼💗Sandra donated to NAMIWalks and got me HALF ways to my goal! 💚 All these funds will go towards the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI is dedicated to advocating for people and families affected by mental illness. 💚

Sandra Zesati has and will forever be a mental health advocate! Sandra loved working as a Mental Health Counselor serving the youth in the K-12 within the Granger School District. She now works in Student Support Services at YVC Grandview and she’s been amazing at it. As a first generation Latina, she understands the struggles that students go through attending college.

Such an honor to know this incredible woman that serves all students, especially Lower Valley students to sure a higher education! Thank you again for your generosity! 🙌🏼💗

Sandra Zesati ha sido y siempre será una defensora de la salud mental! A Sandra le encantaba trabajar como consejera de salud mental al servicio de los jóvenes de K-12 dentro del Distrito Escolar de Granger. Ahora trabaja en Servicios de Apoyo Estudiantil en YVC Grandview y ha sido increíble en ello. Como latina de primera generación, entiende las dificultades por las que pasan los estudiantes para asistir a la universidad.
