Cholinesterase Monitoring Reminder

If you work with organophosphate or carbamate pesticides, regular cholinesterase testing is an important part of staying safe.

Washington State requires monitoring for certain agricultural workers who handle these pesticides regularly.
At Worker Care, we provide:

• Baseline cholinesterase testing
• Ongoing monitoring
• Medical evaluations
• Education on pesticide safety
• Quick scheduling for workers and employers

Signs of Possible Pesticide Poisoning
If you or a coworker experience these symptoms after pesticide exposure, seek medical care immediately:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Excessive sweating
• Nausea or vomiting
• Blurred vision
• Muscle twitching
• Difficulty breathing

Early testing and treatment can make a big difference. If you’re unsure whether symptoms are related to exposure, our team is here to help.

📞 Contact us to schedule testing or ask questions.

🧊 Cold temperatures make muscles, tendons, and ligaments stiffer and less elastic. That means they don’t stretch or absorb force as well. Sudden lifting, twisting, or fast movements are more likely to lead to strains and sprains.

And here’s the kicker: your body can feel fine while your tissues are still cold.

Why this matters at work:
Early shifts, outdoor jobs, unheated warehouses, and refrigerated environments all increase injury risk — especially in the first 30–60 minutes.

Bottom line:
Warm up your body like you warm up equipment.
Light movement, stretching, and easing into heavy tasks can make a big difference in preventing injuries.

Fun Health Fact:
Sitting all day is sneaky. Your body notices—even if you don’t.

A 2-minute walk every hour helps:
- Shake off stiffness
- Get blood flowing
- Recharge your energy

No workout clothes required. A lap, a stretch, or a “just checking something” walk counts.

Yes—standing up counts as self-care.

Movement = maintenance. 😉
