🔥 Struggling to keep your aramandi turnout open?
It’s not just flexibility — your glutes + external rotators need strength too! 💪

Try this simple exercise ⬇️
1️⃣ Sit with one leg open, the other tucked back
2️⃣ Press your knee down
3️⃣ Lift your ankle off the floor & hold for 5 seconds
4️⃣ Repeat 10x each side

✅ Activates your turnout muscles
✅ Keeps your aramandi wide & strong
✅ Protects your hips + knees from overload

Your turnout doesn’t just “happen” — you can train it. ✨

🕺💃 Stiff hips holding you back in dance? Try this quick warm-up move: Hip CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations).

✨ Benefits:
✔ Opens up your hip joint through its full range
✔ Frees your movement for aramandi & spins
✔ Prevents stiffness + reduces injury risk

Do 10 reps each side (standing or on all fours) before practice—your hips will thank you. 🔥

🌬️✨ Dancers, cooldown isn’t just about stretching—it’s about resetting your body AND mind.

One of the best ways? Belly breathing.
✔ Regulates your nervous system
✔ Slows down your heart rate
✔ Leaves you grounded and calm after practice

Try this: 5–10 slow, deep breaths with one hand on your chest and one on your belly. Inhale fully, exhale completely. 🧘‍♀️

Because recovery isn’t just physical—it’s mental too. 💃🫶

😴✨ Dancers, your secret performance hack? Sleep.

As athletes, dancers need more recovery than most—yet sleep is often the first thing we sacrifice.

Here’s what happens when you don’t get enough rest:
⚡ Slower reactions & reduced focus
⚡ Increased pain & inflammation
⚡ Lower performance on stage

8–9 hours every night isn’t a luxury—it’s part of your training. 🛌💃
Build that habit, protect your performance, and step on stage at your best.

Save this post before your next show as a reminder: rest = results. 🌸

10/17/2025

💃✨ Dancers, remember: rest is training too.
As performance season gets closer, the temptation to overtrain is real—but it can backfire.

⚡ Here’s why rest is non-negotiable:
1️⃣ Muscles repair & grow only during rest 🩹
2️⃣ Fatigue = sloppy technique = higher injury risk ❌
3️⃣ Overtraining can disrupt women’s hormones & cycles ⚖️

Fuel well. Train smart. Rest enough.
That’s how you stay stage-ready & injury-free. 🌸

Save this as your reminder before your next big performance! 🙌

🦵 Knee pain in aramandi? You’re not alone.
The knee is already under heavy load in this position—and poor technique makes it worse.

👉 The #1 fix: alignment.
Keep your knee tracking right over your second toe—not collapsing forward, not drifting back.

It’s a small shift, but it can save your knees from pain and injury in the long run. 🙌

Try it out in your next practice & tell us if you feel the difference! 💃✨

✨ Dancers, are you guilty of sticking your butt out in aramandi? 🙈
It might feel normal, but it actually puts extra stress on your low back and legs—leading to pain and injuries over time.

Here’s a simple hack 👉 use the “pelvis triangle” trick to keep your spine neutral and your aramandi safe. 🔺
No more over-tucking, no more arching—just strong, pain-free dance! 💃

Save this for your next practice & tag a friend who needs this! 🩷

Proud to have been a sponsor of Smaran Dance Festival! It was unique as it had different Indian classical dance forms come together on the same stage.

Dr. Divya was able to interact with both performers and attendees to share a little bit about Natya PT services. We look forward to offer Natya services to dancers pursuing various Indian classical dance forms!
