In our relentless pursuit of transforming the future of lung cancer care, we are proud to announce our seventh-generation software for Ion. This new generation of software is designed to further help physicians achieve navigational accuracy from start to finish.

Since debuting in 2019, the Ion system has continually evolved through listening, learning, and innovating with our customers. This release, which will be unveiled at the Annual Meeting, represents a major milestone in our journey. It features the addition of AI-powered navigation software, machine-learning-based cone-beam CT algorithms, and tomosynthesis integration that further strengthen our advanced imaging portfolio.

We’re at with Dr. Folch, Dr. Oberg who lead Pulmonology (IP) fellows from across the country. These fellows are the next generation of program leaders advancing minimally invasive lung care.

“It's critically important that we train the next generation of physicians in lung cancer leadership—not just in medicine, but in access to care—because they are going to be the tip of the arrow in the next phase of healthcare,” Dr. Erik Folch said.

It’s been 25 years since the first da Vinci procedure in Japan—a significant milestone that reflects not only the evolution of surgical technology, but the enduring collaboration that makes such progress possible. To mark this anniversary, we’re delighted to announce the arrival of da Vinci 5 in Japan—our most advanced and integrated system yet.

Kazuhiro Takizawa, president of Intuitive Japan said, “With the addition of da Vinci 5 to our product portfolio, we are expanding the range of options available to meet our customers' diverse needs. We are committed to collaborating closely with hospitals, physicians, care teams, and academic societies to improve patient access to minimally invasive surgery in Japan.”

Kicking off a week of transformation at in Strasbourg: A fireside chat with Intuitive CEO Dave Rosa and Senior Vice President and General Manager Iman Jeddi, PhD. “When we share our learnings, insights, successes and best practices, we are working together to improve patient outcomes and transform healthcare,” said Rosa.
