Comfy clothes? ✅ Robe? ✅ Baby? ⏳

Preparing for labor and delivery can give you peace of mind about what to expect. Try doing the following:

Attending a childbirth class.
Childbirth classes offer a great opportunity to learn about labor and delivery.
Heart Community Resource Center offers FREE bilingual childbirth classes.

Creating a birth plan.
A birth plan allows you to outline your ideal birth experience and share it with your support person, hospital, and healthcare provider.

Preparing a hospital bag.
Pack what you think will make your experience more manageable, like comfortable clothes, cozy socks, and even a warm blanket.

No matter the flavor, the glucose drink is never fun. 😅

Sometimes gestational diabetes can't be prevented, so don't be hard on yourself.

But you may be able to manage gestational diabetes if you stay at a healthy weight and don't gain too much weight during pregnancy. Healthy eating and regular exercise can also help keep your blood sugar level in a safe range.

Tired of tossing and turning at night? Fear not, try these 3 tips tonight so you and your baby can get a better sleep.

🛌 Find a comfortable position.
Use extra pillows to support your belly or put one between your knees.

💧 Wind your body down an hour before bed.
Avoid screens (TV, phone, computer) for at least an hour before bed. Read a book, listen to calming music, or meditate during this time to help prepare your body and mind for a restful night.

☕️ Stop your caffeine intake by midday.
Limit caffeine to about 200 mg per day and try to avoid drinking anything caffeinated past 2 p.m. to ensure you won't have issues falling or staying asleep at night
