Why See A S*x Therapist?

It’s not easy to talk about s*x. Many people suffer from varying s*xual dysfunctions due to medical conditions or side effects from medications, yet they do not discuss their symptoms with their doctors! Some of the more common reasons couples seek counseling from a s*x therapist include inhibited s*xual desire, lack of arousal, painful in*******se, erectile dysfunction, inability to or**sm or premature ej*******on. Sometimes there are simple, quick solutions to problems, but oftentimes people discover that their intimacy issues involve much more than just s*x. Intimacy includes major aspects of relationship and communication. These can be the more fulfilling and lasting elements of expressing one’s sensuality, and over time seem to increase in importance as we mature. S*x therapy can be done with individuals, but it tends to work best when a couple enters into treatment together (so you have someone to practice with). Dr. Seidman’s goal is to help you obtain a deeper level of love and intimacy, perhaps, than you have ever experienced before! More recently, people have been seeking certified s*x therapists to discuss issues they are having that relate to living alternative s*xual lifestyles. Dr. Seidman is one of the few practitioners who identifies herself as a Kink Aware Professional (KAP).

Why I Became a Psychotherapist…

“When I was in my first year of college, my brother was diagnosed with HIV. Dealing with issues like these are not easy, to say the least. The emotional toll was great. Though life presents us with these circumstances, it does not give us an instruction manual on how to deal with them. Even though my brother passed away and unfortunately, my father, too, passed away within one year of each other, their deaths have given me an unexpected gift; a relentless passion to help others overcome their emotional difficulties and gain strength from them as well.

As our emotions can often appear so complicated, I knew there had to be an easier way to understand and deal effectively with them. Over the past 20 years, I have worked to develop a unique, realistic and guided approach to positive psychological health that empowers you to overcome your present troubles, but future ones as well. All it takes is your commitment to improve. I truly love what I do and the satisfaction it brings to myself and the people I treat. Most people cannot say they found their ideal job, but I can.
