digestion doesn’t start in your gut…
it starts with your environment.
Here’s what morning sunlight actually does:
✨ 1. Increases stomach acid
Light signals your brain + circadian rhythm → which helps your body produce the acid you need to properly break down food (especially protein + minerals).
✨ 2. Activates your nervous system for digestion
Sunlight helps regulate your nervous system so you can shift into parasympathetic mode (aka rest + digest).
No safety = no proper digestion.
✨ 3. Supports bile flow + metabolism
Your liver + gallbladder rely on circadian cues too.
Better light exposure = better fat digestion + less post-meal heaviness.
This is why you can be eating “healthy”…
but still feel bloated.
Your body might not be getting the signals it needs to digest.
Start simple:
→ 5–10 minutes of sunlight within 30 minutes of waking
(no sunglasses, no phone)
