Residents had a wonderful time at the Senior Connections, Inc. Annual Senior Picnic, held at the Superior Curling Club. They enjoyed a delicious meal from Kurtz Catering and generous prize donations from area businesses. The smiles say it all and we already look forward to next year!

The "dog days of summer" were mild, so we celebrated with a parking lot party. We had ice cream treats and special entertainment. Special thank you to Bob Wallin for organizing the cool old cars! 🚗🌞🍦

Championed by Marian McQuade, National Grandparents Day was officially established by President Jimmy Carter in 1978, designating the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents Day to strengthen intergenerational bonds and recognize the importance of seniors. 👴👵💕

We were treated to a pontoon ride on the St. Louis River by the St. Louis River Experience. Residents shared stories working on the docks and grain elevator and we all enjoyed the sights and sounds out on the water. A big thank you to Captain Glen and our river guides! 🛥⚓🐠

We are celebrating our "champions" for National Nursing Assistants Week, which runs from June 12-18! This week recognizes the contributions of Certified Nursing Assistants, who play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare and support to residents.

Our theme this month was "A Great May on the Great Lakes." We celebrated by having a pub crawl! Residents, staff and visitors made their way around the building to seven different offices to sample "mocktails" inspired by the Great Lakes.
