š„ Check out my YouTube video about my gastric bypass surgery journey - the whole unfiltered truth!
Gastric bypass made so much sense to me, so I went forward. I'm a rule follower and hard worker - tracked food, focused on protein, continued workouts.
The plan: eat half cup to cup of food multiple times daily. You're always eating little bits. It just didn't work. My HEAD was hungry but stomach wouldn't allow me to eat.
Six months in, starting weight GAIN. Doctor said "track food better" or "add calories" (which made no sense - I'd add calories, gain weight).
We didn't identify WHY I was overweight. Just assumed I'm bad and overeating. Not hormones, thyroid, digestive enzymes, communication pathways, energy pathways, nutrition deficiencies. Just "eating too much - this will help you eat less and absorb less."
Wrong approach entirely.
