“This program reflects our duty to serve those who once served us,” Sheriff Dave Rosado said. “These men and women wore our nation’s uniform, and now they’re facing battles no one can see.”

The program is intended to help veterans understand the connection between their trauma and behavior while developing coping strategies and begin building new habits for life after release.

The Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the launch of their new Veteran PTSD Program, which is designed to help incarnated veterans heal complex trauma from military service.
