It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Jeff Ballou.

We'd like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during the last few weeks; it has meant a great deal to us here at CCG, Jeff's family and most importantly to Jeff himself.

Jeff really felt he was doing his best work recently and was so upset when he was no longer able to continue working. He felt he lived a great life and was truly grateful for the opportunity to have been able to help so many over the years.

It was an honor and a privilege to have been a part of his life not just as a colleague but also as a friend. To know that he loved each of us for our part in his life. Even more important, was knowing he was at peace.

Jeff had asked that we remind people to live life mindful and be present in the moment ("no stinkin' thinkin").

Thank you again for your continued support during this difficult time.

Jeffrey Blake Ballou, age 75, passed away on May 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by loving family.

Hello CCG friends,

After all the appropriate people have been informed and after permission has been given, I am updating our past and current clients on some very disheartening news regarding one of our own.

It is with tremendous sadness that we want to inform you all that Jeff Ballou is no longer able to see clients due to a terminal diagnosis.

Jeff has been practicing since the early 1980’s and during that time, he has worked in a variety of settings (recovery centers, federal prison, private practice to name a few). He has run numerous groups, provided guidance to too many to count, counseled, coached and consulted.

We are unsure of how much time we have left with him and wanted to try to give the opportunity for people to provide him with some kind words about the difference he has made for you and/or your loved one(s).

The kind words and the immense amount of support he has already received in such a short amount of time has meant a great deal to him and his loved ones.

Thank you all for your support during this extremely difficult time.
