Today is National Wear Red Day!
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women. In the U.S., nearly 45% of women ages 20 and older are living with some form of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease or stroke, and that number is expected to grow.
The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement shines a light on these realities while encouraging education, awareness, and action. National Wear Red Day is a reminder that heart health is not just a one-day conversation. Many risk factors can be improved with early action through prevention and proactive care.
From all of us at Peak Heart & Vascular, we are proud to support efforts that advance women’s heart health and cardiovascular awareness.
