Peak Heart & Vascular enjoyed participating in The Bluffs of Flagstaff Senior Living Health and Wellness Fair yesterday. It was a pleasure connecting with residents and community members while providing complimentary blood pressure screenings and sharing information about cardiovascular health.

New projections released this week by the American Heart Association highlight a concerning future for women’s cardiovascular health. The AHA report estimates that by 2050, nearly 60% of U.S. women age 20+ will have at least one form of cardiovascular disease, up from 44% in 2020.

The projected rise is largely fueled by increasing rates of high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes.

The AHA underscores the need for stronger prevention efforts and earlier intervention to change the trajectory of women’s cardiovascular health.

Peak Heart & Vascular is proud to share an exciting milestone. Dr. Andy Tran, Founding Partner, Cardiologist, and Cardiac Electrophysiologist, and our surgical team have successfully completed our first atrial fibrillation ablation using the VARIPULSE Platform by Johnson & Johnson at Peak Surgery Center.

This advanced system uses pulsed field ablation (PFA), a next-generation technology that treats atrial fibrillation by targeting the areas of the heart causing the irregular rhythm while helping protect surrounding tissue. Unlike traditional ablation methods that rely on heat or extreme cold, PFA delivers gentle, controlled electrical pulses that focus only on the problem cells. For patients, this may mean a safer procedure, less risk to nearby structures, and a smoother recovery.

Bringing innovative procedures like pulsed field ablation to our ambulatory surgery centers reflects our continued commitment to advancing cardiovascular care across Arizona.

The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement shines a light on these realities while encouraging education, awareness, and action. Peak Heart & Vascular is officially open in our new Flagstaff home!

Our clinic has relocated to a newly remodeled building at 1340 N Rim Drive in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The new space is designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, featuring modern exam rooms, a dedicated procedure room, and onsite testing and imaging. Bringing these services together in one location allows us to support patients with a comprehensive range of cardiovascular care in a convenient setting.

This move reflects our ongoing commitment to serve the Flagstaff community with high-quality heart and vascular care.

We look forward to welcoming patients to our new location.

New research from the American Heart Association suggests that higher exposure to artificial light at night may be linked to increased cardiovascular risk.
