Peak Heart & Vascular is officially open in our new Flagstaff home!

Our clinic has relocated to a newly remodeled building at 1340 N Rim Drive in Flagstaff, Arizona.

The new space is designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, featuring modern exam rooms, a dedicated procedure room, and onsite testing and imaging. Bringing these services together in one location allows us to support patients with a comprehensive range of cardiovascular care in a convenient setting.

This move reflects our ongoing commitment to serve the Flagstaff community with high-quality heart and vascular care.

New research from the American Heart Association suggests that higher exposure to artificial light at night may be linked to increased cardiovascular risk. A recent study presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions 2025 found that adults with Type 2 diabetes and moderate to high cardiovascular risk who took low-dose aspirin experienced fewer heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular deaths compared to those who did not.

While these findings are encouraging, aspirin therapy is not right for everyone. The potential benefits must be carefully weighed against bleeding risks, making it essential to discuss with your physician before starting or changing any regimen.

Last weekend, Peak Heart & Vascular was proud to participate in the Tolleson Community Resource Fair, a day dedicated to connection, sharing, and community spirit.

Hosted by the City of Tolleson, the event brought together local organizations to provide valuable resources and support for the community.

Our team provided free blood pressure screenings and discussed important aspects of cardiovascular care, including how to recognize and manage risk factors. We appreciate everyone who joined us to gain a better understanding of their health and the importance of regular screening.

As a board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr. Calarese specializes in the surgical and endovascular management of arterial and venous disease, with expertise in the treatment of aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, and venous disorders.
