On the real though, lately, balance has felt a little harder to find and honestly, that’s been part of this season 🤍
Becoming a new mom has shifted everything. Between motherhood, long days in the treatment room, and learning how to juggle it all, I’m reminded daily that I’m human too. I don’t always practice what I preach, I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m showing up, learning, and doing my best!

There are some really exciting changes coming in 2026, and while it’s been a lot to keep up with behind the scenes, I’m incredibly grateful. Most of all, I’m grateful for my patients, for your patience, your kindness, and the love you show me every single day. You truly keep me going more than you know. While no makeup is technically “acne-safe,” there are products formulated with fewer ingredients known to be comedogenic (aka pore-clogging).

It’s important to acknowledge that pore cloggers and acne triggers are nuanced. What causes breakouts for one person may not affect another, and many ingredient studies aren’t even conducted on human skin. Acne is highly individual, and context always matters…

That said, when treating acne in a clinical setting, we do take known pore-clogging ingredients into consideration when making product recommendations. Our goal is to support skin clarity and barrier health — so we prioritize options that align with acne-focused treatments rather than working against them. The products shared here are acne-conscious alternatives to some popular makeup items that we’ve seen contribute to congestion for certain clients. If you’re already consistent with skincare, receiving professional treatments, and addressing common lifestyle factors, yet still experiencing breakouts, it may be worth taking a closer look at your makeup routine 💄
