Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of Cognitive Therapy, one that helps people deal with unhelpful thought patterns. While it is similar to traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in challenging negative thoughts, it adds elements of how to deal with difficult situations! Change and Acceptance can be done at the same time! If this sounds like it could be helpful, DBT therapy might be just the thing for you!

Life can be hard, stressful, overwhelming. Emotions work to hijack your brain, take over, control you. What’s there to do…act opposite to the emotion, push away the negative thoughts, reflect on your inner strength! Realize that the intensity of the emotions will pass, the emotions will subside! You can do this!
