Alexander Nguyen, DDS practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. Dr. Nguyen can perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. Nguyen is licensed to provide all levels of anesthesia in an outpatient surgery setting, as well as a multitude of in-patient hospital procedures. Dr. Nguyen shares a personal interest in wisdom teeth, bone grafting, dental implants, head and neck tumors/cysts with reconstruction, facial traumatic injuries, pediatric and adult general anesthesia . Surprise Oral and Implant Surgery has a highly trained surgical staff that are vital in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art office. First day of work in 2026 and we’re not wasting any time! Over 90% of the implants done by Dr. Nguyen are immediately placed, which means the implant post is placed into the jaw at the same time as the extraction. This makes the time to be able to start the final crown in half the time or less! Don’t wait for close to a year just to get a tooth. Last weekend Dr. Nguyen taught another remote anchorage cadaver course with the great Dr. Dan Holtzclaw in Dallas, Texas to about 25 doctors. Did you know they have been teaching this course together consistently for about 5 years now? Zygomatic, pterygoid, and transnasal implants are the most difficult and advanced implants for All on X / Teeth in a Day and they are what we have been doing at a high level for many years. Our Story

Dr. Alexander Nguyen was born and raised in Southern California. At the young age of 17, he obtained his California Dental Radiology Assisting license. As he was attending the University of California, San Diego, he worked as a dental assistant while obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. With a career in dentistry in mind, he then attended the University of Southern California for dental school, where he found his love for surgery. There, Dr. Nguyen received multiple awards, including one for his research and one from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at USC, he left sunny California to attend a rigorous four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZATION

• Full facial reconstruction from traumatic injuries • Head and neck cancer ablation with reconstruction using local and free flaps • Benign tumor and cyst management of the head and neck • Cleft lip and palate repair • Craniofacial surgeries on children and neonates with facial abnormalities • Open tracheostomies for the Intensive Care Unit • Corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery • Dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery with bone grafting • Delivering safe anesthesia to pediatric and adult patients • Botulinum toxin injections

HOSPITAL AFFILIATIONS AND VOLUNTEER WORK
