Tip of the Month:
Stretching and regular exercise helps the body to keep regulated and moving. Exercise increases blood and oxygen flow for better mental and physical performance. Exercising when you're achy or in pain helps the muscles to calm down and relax. By exercising and stretching, your muscles will be in less pain over time, so exercising does help. Make sure to talk to your doctor about your body and which exercises would help or if you have any restrictions. Go slow and easy when beginning exercising. Try using Google for different exercises and stretches for your body and to target specific muscle groups to reduce your pain if you can't afford to go to physical therapy.
Use easy stretches to help when your muscles are tight and painful. Googling the specific area where you have pain and add “stretches” to the search to find the right stretch for your targeted pain area. Yoga is a fantastic way to incorporate stretches into a mindful workout. Hopefully, this tip will work to keep you going until your next massage appointment. Make sure to book your appointment soon!

Tip of the Month:
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is using water as a medium for therapeutic relief. Most commonly people use hydrotherapy’s moist heat technique. Moist heat allows your body to sweat out toxins. Toxins are harmful to your body and hydrotherapy is one way to detoxify and reduce the negative impacts from the toxins in your system. For moist heat you can use a moist heat heating pad. (Make sure when using a heating pad that it is specifically for moist heat and not for dry heat.) An alternative to a heating pad is a heat wrap like ThermaCare. Personally, I use ThermaCare heat wraps at night. Hopefully, this tip will work to keep you going until your next massage appointment. Make sure to book your appointment soon!
