Did you know that getting preventative treatments with Dynamic Wellness during the seasonal changes are wonderful times to prepare your body for optimal health for the rest of the year? What we do in winter impacts summer, what we do in spring impacts fall, and so on and so forth. In Chinese Medicine, we take into account the exact time of year it is by looking at 2 week segments all year round (there are 24 of these 2 week periods in a year)- these segments are called Jie Qi. On February 15th, we are in the final days of the segment called "Li Chun" which is known as "Beginning of Spring."

While it may not completely feel like Spring where you live (for example: in North Carolina the warmth and cold have been bouncing back and forth- a very spring-like energy🏀), the spring is still, in fact, beginning, birds are beginning to chirp again, tiny buds are starting to show on our trees, and so on. The same thing begins to happen in our bodies after a lengthy winter season, and what we can do in our acupuncture and herbal treatments is honor this exact 2 week segment and help your body gently wake up from the inward movement of winter to go forward into the outward movement of spring and summer!

We absolutely love working with these concepts and love educating patients on how they can honor their inner rhythms in relation to what is happening in the natural world around them!
