Did you know rest & ice are no longer the standard for an ankle sprain? Movement & load are the protocol. Save these exercises for next time you roll your ankle!

Foot & ankle range of motion. Get that mid foot moving & those tiny foot muscles as well as the ankle muscles.

Banded eversion to your tolerance & range of motion. Do some reps with a hold on the last rep.

Eccentric calf raises. Focus on pushing the big toe into the floor. Raise up with two feet & slowly come down using just the injured foot.

Thank you to I-Koach Fitness for hosting our “Lift Through It” workshop.

We discussed the realities behind common shoulder, hip, and foot injuries, why pain doesn’t always mean damage, and how proper load management and progressive rehab can keep people training strong.

Our goal is simple: help active adults stay in the gym, not on the sidelines. We appreciate opportunities to share evidence-based strategies with the local fitness community.

If your gym or organization would benefit from an educational workshop, we’d love to connect.

Bored of your core exercises? Elevate your classics with these two variations of the dead bug & bird dog.

💀🐞Keep good tension on your band & increase the tension as you’re able. Make sure the rib cage doesn’t flare & your low back stays glued to the floor.

🦜🐶Make sure you push away from the floor with your shoulders & don’t let the shoulders sink. Keep the traps loose & relaxed. Be controlled & coordinated when moving your limbs. Think slow & controlled over fast & wobbly.

Snow day reminder ❄️

Before you grab the shovel, use the right technique to protect your back.
✔️ Bend at your knees, not your waist
✔️ Keep the shovel close to your body
✔️ Lift small amounts at a time
✔️ Turn with your feet, don’t twist your spine
Your back will thank you later 👏

If you feel sore or stiff after shoveling, we’re here to help.

Stay warm. Shovel smart. 💙

Too many people are neglecting their pelvic floor health & don’t know they even have a dysfunctional pelvic floor. If you suffer from deep groin pain, IBS, painful in*******se, or if you leak p*e when you laugh sneeze jump or get startled, try these out and see if your symptoms decrease.

😮‍💨Sucking in all the time inhibits your core muscles & your pelvic floor from working optimally together. This can lead to leaking, chronic tightness, and other symptoms.

👖High waisted or really tight waist lines do a passive version of sucking in your belly. Essentially your pants suck in so you don’t actively have to.

💢Body tension in one area can produce other areas of your body to also have tension. Relaxing and doing physical mindfulness of these areas will not only reduce the areas that you can see with tension but other places that you might have symptoms, but never knew were part of a bigger problem.

💩 IBS can both be factor contributing to a dysfunctional pelvic floor & also a symptom of a dysfunctional pelvic floor. Forceful pushing or holding in bowel movements can exacerbate your IBS & create other problems like pelvic floor dysfunction, back pain, hemorrhoids, etc.

Feeling dizzy after a car accident? 🚗💥

It could be a concussion, whiplash, or something often missed: BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). BPPV happens when tiny crystals in your inner ear shift, causing dizziness.

That’s why a full exam after an accident is so important, so nothing gets overlooked! ✅

Check out this infographic to learn more about BPPV and what to do about it. 👉 https://bit.ly/4obwHsU

Most patients who come in with lower back pain don’t actually have a “lifting problem” — they have a movement problem.

At Premier Rehab, we teach you how to move the right way — step by step.

1️⃣ Learn proper spinal alignment and posture.
2️⃣ Rebuild your squat with control and support.
3️⃣ Learn how to brace your core and create proper abdominal pressure — in a way that’s simple, safe, and easy to understand.
4️⃣ Then, take those fundamentals into real-life strength and performance.

When you move with intention, your body becomes more resilient — and back pain starts to fade away.
