Dear Beloved Patients and Families,
As many of you know, the last 10 months have been some of the hardest months for this practice, our employees, and our family. With the passing of Dr. Robert Kellow, we were all mentally and physically tested in ways we did not expect. However, we are so proud to know that we continued care at the highest caliber, which is what our patients and families deserve and have experienced over the last 25 years. We are humbled and honored by hardworking Dr. Kathryn Wade and Lauren Haukap CPNP, who continued the tradition of pediatric patient-oriented care in Belleville and the surrounding Metro East Illinois communities.
Since the death of Dr. Kellow, the Kellow family has run this practice with his wishes and thoughts, and we’ve heard stories from so many of you that will hold a special place in our hearts. Katie Kellow, office manager and daughter of Dr. Kellow, has helped care for 2nd and 3rd generations of families who have entrusted the care of their children to Childcare Physicians.
After much consideration we felt the best course was to find a community-minded organization to continue serving you. We are very happy to announce that SIHF Healthcare has acquired Childcare Physicians. This new chapter will ensure the continuation of the best pediatric patient-oriented care in the Belleville Metro-East community. SIHF Healthcare - Childcare Physicians will continue to provide care to established patients as well as new families in the future.
We know that one day, the Kellow grandchildren will find a home at SIHF Healthcare - Childcare Physicians, just as we had imagined them coming to get a checkup from their granddad, Dr. Kellow. For the past 10 months, the Childcare Physicians Family has helped us remember and establish everlasting memories of Dr. Kellow that will forever be with us, and we are forever grateful for that.
Special Message from Katie Kellow: “Through deep self-reflection and family discussions, I have decided to step away as Office Manager of the practice and find a new path for myself moving forward. This decision was not taken lightly, and the only reason I am able to step away is because of the trust I have in my staff and SIHF. This decision is necessary in my continued journey of grief, and I know it will create a better physical and mental environment for myself and my family. Becky Anderson, a staple at our office for the past 12 years and nurse to Dr. Kellow, will be taking over as Office Manager of SIHF Healthcare - Childcare Physicians.”
Rest assured that although our name is changing, Dr. Kathryn Wade, Dr. Jacob Maher, Lauren Haukap CPNP, and the entire staff of SIHF Healthcare - Childcare Physicians will still be here to provide the same high quality, patient centered care for your children and families!
