This is Sunshine, she and her sister are my very first rescued cats, my babies and my very first motivation to help CATS. I hand raised her and Sammie her sister since they were one week old because they were found in the floorboards of a demolition project on one of the hottest days of the year in Wisconsin. TODAY they are SIX years old. Happy birthday my sweet precious Girls mommy loves you! 🥺🥳🐈‍⬛🐈 Cat Cake is almost done (yes OFC the rescue babies will also get some 🐱🎉🐱) .

Colonel clackers is due for a trip to the groomers .
His hair is too long by the butt again and he is a mess😁 💩.

We need to add the cost of what he’ll need to see the groomers tomorrow to his vetting goal. This way we do not have to delay needed care . Please help me get Colonel to the groomers tomorrow. 🛁 🐈‍⬛

Five dollars gets us into the groomer tomorrow and $130 gets us vetting and groomed. 🤞 🐾

Medical update Monday 🏥 🐱 🐱 🐱 🐱 🐱 🐱 ❤️‍🩹

Charlie-Recovering well, friendly, no rescue found yet (4 days to find placement before barn cat life is sealed as his destiny ) 🙏 🐾

Berlioz-no results on necropsy yet as vet is “busy”. 😩

Colonel clackers: Full recovery, ready for a home, needs to be set up for a grooming appointment that is about the only special care. He requires maybe two times a year because of his long fur and healed injury to his backside using the bathroom can be awkward and the job is such a task. It cannot be done here at the rescue sadly. He does do extremely well at the groomers though ☺️🐈‍⬛🛁.

Marie- formed stool, maintaining current weight okay, good spirits as we wait for necropsy results to take to a new vet clinic 🐾🏥💞

Habanero- Tnr complete, not friendly, barn cat placement found and began acclimation. Thanks to Feline Fund we are able to begin TNR in Lennon and Swartz creek Mi again this season. Thankyou so much for helping habanero live a healthier and safer life outdoors, and for helping us continue our Tnr and rescue efforts in Lennon, Michigan colony of 300 homeless community cats 💞🐱🪤

Lennon kitties-

Ron’s lawn: now experiencing the benefits of Tnr/Rescue Ron has made comments at our food drop off this week that he is so grateful for all of our help and he didn’t know that this was ever possible. He says he has never seen the weather warm up and tons of new cats and kittens not flood to his yard. No kittens(YET 🤞)

Roses lawn: Rose has also been experiencing the benefits of Tnr/rescue in Lennon noted at our food drop off this week. She is also noticing less cats and the remaining being more contained to one area and on a routine with more weight and seemingly much healthier. No kittens(YET 🤞)

Karen’s lawn: no new cats remaining were rescued. No kittens(YET 🤞)

Krissys old lawn: no new cats reported none remaining.

New house in the round about: I am still working on outreach and education to encourage caregiver to allow me to provide ATLEAST Tnr . Does not want friendlies rescued . Has heated houses bowls and access to fresh food and water daily .

New outreach will begin within the next month to start Tnr in new lawns hopefully getting us closer to finishing our Lennon project. So far we have done (rescue/TNR) with about 170 cats out of originally 300.

It is late Thankyou Thursday❤️‍🩹🐾🐱🐱🐱

We appreciate everyone who has helped us this last week with Charlie the barn cat, as well as Tnr for habanero who is recovering wonderfully set to be released as soon as his acclamation to the barn is complete. Thankyou Timothy S. Thank you, Lana G. And thank you, Ryan C. for your support. Without your help, we wouldn’t have made it through this week.

I also want to say thank you you too the long list of people who helped with Berlioz two weeks ago. Your kindness, compassion , donations and empathy strectched farther than I could’ve imagined. Covering his care at the clinic, then the euthanasia, and the necropsy I was left with very little to worry about while trying to focus on him and still holding it together for everyone else. It made a HUGE impact in our lives here at the rescue and I genuinely do not know what Berlioz and I would’ve done without you all.
