Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr.

Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr. We use horses to effectively work with adults & children with disabilities or complex medical conditions and veterans.

In our 33rd year of operation, Miracles in Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Center uses horses to work effectively with adults and children who, due to disabilities or complex medical conditions, need assistance in developing the kinds of everyday skills that allow them to function more independently at home, school, or work. We offer various options for people with physical, motor, social, or cognitive disabilities, including therapeutic riding classes, Hippotherapy sessions, ground work programs, or a combination of these experiences to aid in rehabilitation, therapy routines, and strengthening.

We are so deeply grateful for GreenState Foundation’s support for our programming! Thank you for helping us continue to make Miracles! 💚🐴

Earlier this month, the GreenState Foundation granted $10,000 to Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr., in support of their Adaptive Riding Program. These therapeutic sessions help young riders with social, motor, and other developmental challenges build strength and confidence. While on horseback, children develop skills that carry over into positive changes in their everyday lives.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Don Pecos, a beloved Morgan who would have turned 30 next month. From the moment he arrived at Miracles in Motion—originally trained by Michelle Blackler and generously donated to our program—Don Pecos never disappointed. He was a truly exceptional horse, characterized by his intelligence, adaptability, and expressive eyes.

Don Pecos was deeply in tune with everyone around him, whether he was being groomed or carrying a rider. He was dedicated to helping both children and adults reach their full potential through our equine-assisted activities and therapies. As a vital part of every aspect of our program, he was an incredible teacher to us all.

Horses are the heart of everything we do, and the partnership we share with them makes this loss particularly difficult for our volunteers, instructors, riders and staff. While we mourn his absence, we take comfort in knowing that the impact of a horse loved so deeply remains a permanent part of our community.

🌟 Sydney Parker’s Miracles Moment 🌟

“My name is Sydney Parker, and I am currently a senior at Prairie High School. My journey to Miracles started with my Ag in Industry class. This is a capstone class for my Animal Science Pathway at Prairie High School. For my class, I had to complete a 90-hour internship at a business. I wasn’t sure where to go at first. I knew I wanted to work with large animals. Then my Mom told me about Miracles in Motion. After looking it up online, I was inspired by their mission and wanted to intern there. My first day at Miracles was at the beginning of February. I was nervous because I didn’t have any experience working around horses. But all of the volunteers are amazing and helped me by explaining how to do things the Miracles way. So far, I have completed 49 hours at Miracles in Motion.

Miracles in Motion has impacted me in many ways. I have learned something new almost every day I have spent at Miracles. From handling techniques to distributing hay, I have learned so much. I have built connections with the horses and the volunteers. The community at Miracles is truly wonderful. Through Miracles in Motion, I have learned that getting out of your comfort zone to try something new is beneficial. It is also impactful to be part of a mission to help others. I can’t wait to see what I experience next at Miracles in Motion!”
