Please join us in welcoming Sarah.
SARAH BARTHOLOMEW-FISHER
MSW, LCSW
Sarah graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to graduate from Case Western Reserve University with a Masters of Science in Social Administration.
Sarah believes that every person is the expert in their own life and through collaborative therapeutic work great change can be made. She believes that there is no one therapeutic method that works for everyone, so she uses methods from several therapeutic modalities. Sarah practices therapy with a person-centered approach and will work with you to find the approach that works best for you. She utilizes many evidence-based practices including (but not limited to) cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused-CBT, solution focused therapy, emotionally focused individual therapy, play therapy, expressive therapies, bibliotherapy, and continues to seek out and be trained in new evidence based interventions.
Sarah has spent her career working with children, adult, and family survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, as well as many different mental health diagnoses. She is a firm believer in equity and spends her free time creating political change, pushing for legislation to support LGBT+ individuals and families, people of color, and other marginalized and underserved populations.
Sarah is passionate about helping individuals be the best version of who they want to be.
