Larry Dale Farley, 74 of Chapmanville, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV. He was born on October 1, 1951, in Logan County, WV and was the son of the late Lloyd Farley and Gladous (Workman) Farley.

He was a retired machinist from Logan Plating. He was a faithful member and dedicated deacon of Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church of Striker, WV for over thirty years. He enjoyed sports and music, but most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandsons.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his loving wife of fifty-four years, Elizabeth Hope Farley; son, Matthew (Stacy) Farley; brother, Phillip (Alice) Farley; sister, Neva Sue Marlow; three grandchildren, Hayden (Mollie Kirk) Farley, Jacob Farley, and Jonah Farley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church in Striker, WV with Pastor Ronnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Farley Family Cemetery in Striker, WV.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at 11:00 am.

David Arthur Fields “Block”, age 56, of Logan, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 20, 2026.

Born on October 7, 1969, he was a retired surface miner who worked hard throughout his life and took pride in providing and caring for those around him. Known for his big heart and generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a warm meal with friends and family.

He loved to cook and was happiest gathered with others, whether it was around the table, playing darts with friends, or enjoying the outdoors riding side-by-sides. David had a deep appreciation for square-body Chevys, and all things classic and mechanical. Two of his greatest joys were his boxer, Chief, and his cat, Jolene.

David will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the simple, meaningful moments he shared with those he loved.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann (Maynard) Fields.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Mearl “Bo” Fields; his brother, James Green; along with many special friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Dallas Lee Trent, 66 of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1959 in Isaban, WV and was the son of the late Marie Cline. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Robinette; brother, James Trent; nieces, Eva “Sissy” Browning and Ashley Cline; and nephew, Denford Lester, Jr.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his niece whom he thought of as a daughter, Patricia Sparks Cline; niece, Michelle Lester (Jessie Branham); brothers, Rush (Hope) Cline and Gregory “Boogie” Daniels; a dear friend, Bessie (Kenneth) Blevins; and his caretakers, Rita Canterbury and Edward “Shag” Roberts.

In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services.

Sarah Elizabeth Sullins, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She went to her eternal rest in the loving arms of Jesus.

Sarah was born on May 2, 1944, in Barnabus, West Virginia. She enjoyed her early years there before later moving to Chauncey, where she built a life centered family and love.

Sarah’s most cherished treasure was her family. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved and found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and welcome. She was known for her servant’s heart and gracious hospitality, always making sure everyone was fed, cared for, and surrounded by love.

Sarah especially enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family and gathering everyone around the table. She enjoyed camping trips to East Lynn Lake, family vacations to Myrtle Beach, and making lasting memories with her children and grandchildren. Sarah spent her life putting others first, quietly and faithfully showing her love through her constant care and selflessness.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Walter Carroll Sullins; her loving daughters, Lucy (Chuck) Vinson and Leah Sullins Kinzer; her granddaughter, Brittany (Jacob) Long; her beloved great-grandchildren, Brody, Grayson, Carter, and Cannyn Rose Long, her brother, Billy (Debbie) Russell & sister, Murial Kay (Melvin) Meade. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Lucy Ellen Russell; her sister, Rosella “Rosie” Carpenter; and her brothers, Buddy and Bobby Russell.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sarah’s life on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home in Switzer, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a brief service and burial to follow at the family cemetery in Chauncey, WV.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Sarah’s legacy of love, care, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in each of us.

Kattie Faye (Stone) Coats, 60 years old, left this world on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born on November 22, 1965, in Cleveland, OH to the late Buddie Shelton Stone and Margaret Faye (Ellis) Huffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Buddie Scott Stone and Eric Scott Stone, both of Chapmanville, WV.

Kattie was a homemaker, caretaker, and of the Christian faith. She is loved and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her husband of thirty six years, Christopher Elliot Coats of Chapmanville, WV; daughter, Margaret Michelle (Stone) Thomas of Columbus, OH; son, John (Destiny) Lambert of Chapmanville, WV; two brothers, Bud (Lisa) Stone of Logan, WV, and Froud (Elizabeth) Stone of Columbia Station, OH; two aunts, Billie (Stone) Frye of Huntington, WV, and Oreo (Ellis) Toler of Chapmanville, WV; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church to honor her memory. Pastor Tony Vance will be officiating, and Mike Jeffrey will be singing.

Eva Jean (Trent) Robinette, 73 of Wharncliffe, WV went home to her Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Tug Valley ARH in South Williamson, KY. She was born on November 21, 1952, and was the daughter of the late Anse Trent and Marie Cline.

She was a member of Wharncliffe Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Eva “Sissy” Browning; son, Denford Lester, Jr., brother, James Trent, sisters, Mable Hatfield and Elsie Ward; and granddaughter, Ashley Cline.

Andrew Clark, Jr., 78, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born on April 9, 1947, in Logan, WV and was the son of the late Andrew Clark, Sr., and May (Hume) Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Benjie Clark.

He proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army, answering the call of duty with honor, courage, and dedication.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Lambert; and twelve siblings.

Kimberly Dawn Hughes, 49, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025 in Cumberland, MD.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her step-father, Tommy V. Callaway and her mother, Debbie L. Callaway-Ally, her paternal grandparents, Laden and Elizabeth Callaway all of Chauncey, WV. She was also preceded by her maternal grandparents, Helen Saul of Salt Rock, WV and grandfather, Cecil Clagg of Milton, WV; as well as a brother-in-law, William J. Browning, of Verdunville, WV.

Kimberly was born September 12, 1976 in Huntington, WV. She is survived by her loving dad, Danny & Mary Moore, of Manchester, TN; her grandmother, Eileene Clagg of Milton, WV. Those also left behind to cherish her memories include her loving daughter, Allison Hughes; her loving sisters, Kimberly Callaway of Verdunville, WV, Carrie & Tim Harclerode, of Pittsburgh, PA; nieces, Avari Callaway of McConell, WV, and Tiffany Callaway & great niece Aubriella McComas both of Verdunville, WV; nephews Conner Mullins of Logan, WV, and Thomas (Tjay) Mullins of Chapmanville, WV.
