June is Men's Mental Health Month π
This is a very important topic in my life. I've seen the tragic outcome of the darkest side of this, and there are several ways to help men overcome depression, sadness, and violent behavior towards others or themselves.

One thing I'm working on as a woman is listening! I have male clients, a husband, brothers, and sons that need to be heard instead of me waiting for my turn to talk (this is extremely hard for me and I'm sure for most of us, but I'm working on it!!)
This is the #1 thing to do to begin healing if you're struggling with your mental health, talk!
Also, exercise of any kind...walking, cycling, lifting weights, body weight training, and stretching all release tension, improve circulation, and encourage mindfulness.
Working on a hobby or project, watching a movie, going out to dinner with friends, etc can calm the nervous system and reduce feelings of anxiety and stress.
Men, you're not alone! If this post helps one man help his relationships, lessen his depression, ease his anxiety, or save his life..then I'm grateful for spending the time to create it.
