We have to talk about formula advertising… AGAIN.
A nationwide recall. Multiple failed inspections. Infants hospitalized.
And yet sponsored posts for ByHeart are still showing up in mothers’ feeds.
That alone should raise serious concern.
The postpartum window is tender and disorienting. Mothers are healing, running on very little sleep, learning their baby’s cues while trying to trust their own bodies again. Companies understand this timing and they use it.
It is troubling when corporate marketing inserts itself into one of the most vulnerable seasons of a woman’s life, especially when safety and transparency are already in question.
It is unethical that a brand continues aggressive digital promotion during a recall of their product tied to infant illness and hospitalization.
Mothers deserve honesty. Babies deserve protection. And birth workers (all people, really) should be willing to name when something isn’t sitting right.
