Happy Hanukkah from all of us at PinITUp 🕎

This morning, Sykesville woke up wrapped in a quiet winter wonderland; soft snow, hushed streets, and that rare stillness that invites reflection. And yet, our hearts are heavy knowing that elsewhere in the world, families are waking to grief after the devastating violence in Australia just hours ago.

Hanukkah is a holiday that teaches us about light that endures, not loud or blinding light, but steady, faithful light that continues even when the world feels fractured. Today, we hold space for both: gratitude for the peace outside our windows, and deep compassion for those whose peace has been shattered.

May we honor the miracle of light by choosing kindness, tending to one another, and remembering that even small acts of care matter, especially in times like these.

A little real-life update from your neighborhood acupuncturist ✨
A few weeks ago I went in for a routine mammogram. Since I didn’t have any previous images, they warned me a call-back was likely — and sure enough, good ol’ Lefty got some extra attention.

Fast forward to today: after a clearer image and an ultrasound, we learned I have dense breast tissue. Everything appears benign 🙌 and I’m now on a 6-month mammogram schedule for the next two years.

Apparently this means I’m in an exclusive club now — membership I didn’t ask for, but here we are.

Huge gratitude to my PinITUp team for rearranging schedules so I could take care of this, and a subtle reminder to everyone: listen to your body, keep up with your screenings, and don’t ignore the boring-but-important stuff. 💗✨ (and yes, I opted for the Ai assist for the mammogram.)

Somehow it’s December and Santa just opened up a few more spots for THIS month. I honestly thought we were done, wrapped, and on the sleigh—but surprise! Turns out we’re still making Christmas magic while the rest of us are wondering where November went.

Jonathan puts on that suit and instantly becomes the most joyful human on earth. I’m not saying I could never be Santa but… actually, who knows? Maybe next year I’ll be Mrs. Claus. Or the mastermind event coordinator. Or the tiny elf handing out cookies. Anything is possible in this household. 😌✨

Put a fork in me, I’m done! 12 hours of Up-Cycle Santa, 12 hours of Christmas (I Made it 10), 6 hours of seeing patients, throw in running around with kids and setting up a 2nd Up-cycle for tomorrow …. Before my god kids birthday party tomorrow night…. Happy holidays friends! We will make it through the holidays in one piece! Acupuncture helps with that. 😘
