Scott Farmer Grading Inc. helped us take care of some drainage issues today. Our roads are open. They’ll be back tomorrow to finish up and clean up - big thanks to the Scott Farmer team!

SVRA Notice:

On Tuesday, November 4, weather permitting we are planning to improve drainage on Basswood and Parris branch roads.

Road equipment will be on location starting tomorrow and will be in use on our roads Tuesday, November 4. Between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Roads may be blocked or passage delayed on Basswood Ridge and Parris Branch.

**This will effect everyone on Basswood and everyone on Parris Branch Gravel road except Susan Blair.

This is a notice to everyone who lives within Sylva Vista. On Tuesday, November 4 weather permitting we are planning to improve drainage on Basswood and Parris branch. Scott Farmer Grating equipment maybe on our location starting Monday, November 3 and will be in use on our roads Tuesday, November 4. There may be times traffic will be blocked on Basswood or Parris Branch between 10 AM and 4 PM.
Please plan accordingly, should you need to arrive or leave the mountain between those times expect road blockage and delays.

Our entrance gate should be fully repaired tomorrow (Thursday). Thanks to everyone for their patience - it took longer than expected.

A big Thank You to Scott Farmer and crew for the wonderful job they did repairing our roads.
They have spent most of this week cleaning culverts and ditches, putting down gravel/road bond, grading, and even put in several New Culverts! Basically, they have made our lumpy, bumpy, rutted road smooth again!
We really appreciate all their hard work!

We’ve had some amazing rain again thats causing our streams to overflow! I’ve asked Scott to come access our situation. We will be sending the crew up to start the work next week sometime weather permitting, they will start by cleaning the culverts for the 4th time this year, replacing one and repairing the roads. Even the trees can’t believe their eyes. Help is on the way.

I know it can be frustrating, the gates been down for quite some time. We had a power surge when wind blew a tree over the powerlines nearby. We called Asheville Fence for the repair, the parts are on order and were assured of a speedy repair… Then I see what it looks like a doctor of Gate repair. Is this a neighbor, or possibly Asheville Fence asking for a second opinion. In any case, as soon as this repaired, you’ll notice it closed again.
