Meet one of our staff members, Joyce!
Joyce Sutton is both a licensed school psychologist and licensed social worker who has worked extensively with children and families in educational and private settings for many years. Her expertise spans infancy through young adulthood with specialized knowledge and experience in Autism, ADHD, disabilities related to learning and disabilities related to social-emotional. behavioral, and intellectual functioning.
Over the years, Joyce has worked in rural and at-risk urban school districts as a psychologist, guidance counselor, social worker, special education supervisor and educational consultant, all to assist troubled students in being supported so that individual needs were met and they could optimally progress. She has worked privately as a therapist and evaluator, first with sexually abused preschool age children and later with children and young adults having special needs. Uniquely, she incorporates families into her work so that a child builds confidence across settings and feels supported by loved ones.
