📢 We’re seeing more COVID cases in kids since school started:
including Dr. Moreschi
With classrooms back in session, it’s not surprising that we’re noticing an increase in COVID cases. Most children are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms, similar to a bad cold or flu. Common symptoms include:
😷 Fever
🤧 Runny nose or congestion
😮💨 Cough
🤒 Sore throat
😴 Fatigue
What you can do at home:
Keep your child well-hydrated (water, popsicles, broth, electrolyte drinks)
Use Tylenol or Motrin for fever and body aches
Encourage rest and quiet activities
Try saline sprays, humidifiers, or warm showers for congestion
Honey (for ages 1+) can help soothe coughs
When to call us or seek care:
🚨 Trouble breathing or rapid breathing
🚨 Severe chest pain or pressure
🚨 Signs of dehydration (not peeing, very dry lips/mouth, dizziness)
🚨 Persistent high fever not improving with medicine
Most kids recover well at home, but we’re here if you need us. If your child is high-risk (chronic conditions, weakened immune system), please let us know right away if they test positive so we can guide you on next steps.
Let’s keep looking out for each other. 💜 Stay safe, rest when needed, and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.
