👟✨ Big steps. Big energy. Big confidence.
PT Carrie is dialing in her amplitude walking with a strong PWR! Step focus to help her power through those corners!
What we’re working on:
💥 Bigger steps to combat shuffling
↪️ Intentional weight shifts to control direction changes
🧠 Motor planning for smoother turns
⚖️ Dynamic balance with each pivot
🚶‍♀️ Arm swing + trunk rotation for full-body amplitude
The PWR! Step strategy is all about exaggerating movement — stepping wide and purposeful to retrain the brain and body to move BIG. Corners can be tricky, but with repetition and cueing, those turns become more confident and controlled.
Practice makes progress — and progress builds independence 🙌
We love seeing the hard work pay off one powerful step at a time!

👣🔥 Dialing in those monster walks… with a twist. Literally.
This isn’t your average band walk. We’re adding coordinated arm movement and trunk rotation to challenge:
💥 Glute med & max strength
🧠 Cross-body coordination
⚖️ Dynamic trunk stability
💪 Anti-rotation core control
When your arms and legs move together (and sometimes in opposition), your brain has to organize timing, rhythm, and balance. Add the band resistance + controlled trunk rotation and now your hips and core are working overtime to prevent collapse and excessive sway.
Every step becomes:
✔️ Single-leg stability
✔️ Core engagement
✔️ Motor planning practice
✔️ Functional strength in motion
Because walking, turning, reaching, and reacting in real life requires your whole system — not just isolated muscles.
Monster walks just leveled up 👊

📸😄 Say cheese… and LEAN!
Today we’re working on anterior weight shift for sit-to-stands — with a fun iPad photo twist!
To keep that big smile in camera view, you’ve got to:
➡️ Lean your nose over your toes
➡️ Shift your weight forward
➡️ Load through your feet
➡️ Drive up strong to stand
That forward weight shift is the secret sauce to efficient sit-to-stands. When we don’t shift forward enough, we compensate, rock, or push excessively through the arms. But when we get that momentum in the right direction? Smooth. Powerful. Controlled. 💪
And adding the iPad photo?
📱 Encourages visual feedback
😄 Promotes bigger anterior shift
🧠 Adds motivation + dual task
⚖️ Builds functional confidence
Because sometimes all it takes is keeping your smile in frame to find the perfect movement pattern 😉
Stronger transitions. Better mechanics. Picture-perfect reps.

🔥 I never knew planks could be this fun… until we added the Slackboard 😎
What looks like a basic plank quickly turns into:
⚖️ Reactive balance training
💪 Deep core + oblique activation
🦵 Shoulder and scapular stability
🧠 Proprioceptive challenge
🔥 Total body control
That unstable surface forces constant micro-adjustments — your trunk, hips, and shoulders all firing together to keep you steady. It’s not just “holding a plank”… it’s dynamic stability in action.
We’re building strength that transfers to real life: reacting, stabilizing, and controlling movement under load.
Safe to say we’re loving our Slackboard over here 🙌

🔥 Lateral power + core control = a movement win!
Today we’re dialing in resisted lateral walks for glute stability and leveling it up with a weighted Pallof press 💪
What’s happening here?
➡️ Glute med & max activation to keep those hips stable
➡️ Anti-rotation core strength as the Pallof press challenges you not to twist
➡️ Coordination + timing as your steps and press have to sync up
➡️ Single leg control every time you shift your weight
When you step laterally against resistance, your hips are working hard to prevent collapse. Add the Pallof press and now your core has to resist rotation while your legs are moving — hello brain-body connection 🧠⚡
This is functional strength at its finest:
Stable hips. Strong core. Coordinated movement.
Perfect for athletes, balance training, low back support, and everyday life. Because real life doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in motion 🙌

⚖️👀🔥 One setup. FULL system challenge.
We’re layering a dynamic disc with VOR training, proprioception, and core/trunk stability — because why train one system when you can train them all?
On the disc, your body is constantly making micro-adjustments. Add head movement for VOR (vestibulo-ocular reflex) work and now your eyes have to stay locked on target while your head moves and your body stabilizes.
What we’re hitting:
👀 Gaze stability (VOR x1/x2)
⚖️ Proprioceptive awareness
💪 Deep core & trunk activation
🧠 Sensory integration (vestibular + visual + somatosensory)
🦶 Ankle and hip strategy balance reactions
This is where balance becomes brain work.
Your system has to process motion, stabilize the trunk, and keep vision clear — all at the same time.
Functional. Challenging. Intentional.
Because real life doesn’t happen on stable ground with a still head 😉
