Not all self-care has to be a spa day. A simple bath can help you reset. Creating comfort doesn’t have to be complicated. One way to improve energy is to make time to reset. Our bodies, brains, and spirits all need a break. Working memory in particular benefits from breaks, which improves memory retention, your ability to focus, and your ability to emotionally regulate. Which makes it easier to respond kindly to our family rather than react.An overworked brain and body is a tired and cranky one. Take breaks!
My favorite indulgent reset button: a nice, warm, calming bath with a few drops of essential oils and a few minutes to breathe deeply and reset. A little self-care ritual goes a long way. You deserve every bit of peace you create.
If you can’t take a bath by yourself because baby needs to join you, just watch the temperature and be sure to use baby-safe essential oils. Not all essential oils are good for babies!!
