Join us this Saturday for a special community run/walk in support of Black Maternal Health Week 💜💙

Black maternal health remains a critical issue, with Black women continuing to face disproportionately high maternal mortality rates in the U.S. This event is about community, awareness, and support.

This will be a 2-mile community walk/run and everyone is welcome. Bring your family, bring the kids, bring the stroller, and come be part of something meaningful. Water and fruit will be provided after the run.

Birth justice includes the right to make informed decisions during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Birth justice requires that care is free from harm, coercion, unwanted medical interventions, and cultural incompetence.

Birth justice in action looks like:
*Your right to choose your provider
*Your right to informed care
*Your right to have the birth partner(s) of your choice
*Your right to be heard
*Respect and care for your identity and personhood
*Your right to a birth plan that is centered by everyone
*And much more….
If you are pregnant or considering pregnancy, join us for our Birth Justice Series at Sankofa Pregnancy Village. Free & Virtual for families in Syracuse.

Sankofa Pregnancy Village is a space of affirmation, wisdom sharing, and communal education for soon-to-be mamas and pregnant people.
