Fair Access for the Deaf

Fair Access for the Deaf FAD offers sign language interpreting and training in Central NY. Since 1988, FAD has been serving deaf and hearing customers in Central NY.

Our pool of 50 interpreters are available to cover a variety of assignments such as business, training, medical, educational and artistic settings.

In recent years Fair Access for the Deaf Skiing signups have declined significantly. Deaf and KODA skiers for the last 3 years: 17 signups in 2016, 11 signups in 2017, 6 signups in 2018. In 2018 there were no lessons in ASL. For 2019 we will not offer weekly group skiing and lessons. The annual Deaf Ski Day will still happen on Sunday February 10 at Song Mtn in Tully NY. In January 2019 visit the FAD website for rates and other details.

In recent years Fair Access for the Deaf Skiing has experienced a significant decrease in enrollment. Signups the past 3 years: 2016-17, 2017-11, 2018-6. In 2018 there were no lessons in ASL. For 2019 FAD will not have a weekly group ski and lesson program. We will still host the annual Deaf Ski Day on Feb 10 at Song Mtn. Check the FAD website in January for details about special rates.
