ENW would like to introduce you to an amazing tool for tracking crime in your community. The map shown above this post includes all crime reported in the last 2 weeks. You can easily click on any of the colored symbols to get more information about the crime.

The map above is a screenshot from this site for today. It shows 1 robbery and a few larceny and property damage reports (along with a few others like criminal mischief) This map updates daily and is easy to customize by date range and offense type (over in the right hand side)

If you have any information about any of the reports you can simply click on the link provided within the symbol for that crime and provide a tip. Please go check out the link at https://www.crimereports.com/. Once you're there just enter your address to see crime reports near you. As always, stay vigilant and stay safe :)

There was a fraud attempt today on Durston Avenue. A man came to a residents door, flashing a badge and saying he was from National grid. He claimed to need to see the residents bill to "check the logo" and make sure it was the correct company providing the service. The resident turned the man away, without showing him the bill or account information.

National Grid and the police were notified of the attempt to gain private information. Never let anyone see or ask for your account information and report all suspicious behavior to the police if you feel threatened in any way.
